Hi Vegard - This is Chris Dixon from Hunch. It looks like you and I read all the same books! Indeed, Paradox of Choice was one of the main inspirations for Hunch. Contrary to what a few skeptics have said about Hunch, we are not trying to make decisions for people or take the individuality out of decision making. Exactly as you say, we are trying to let the people informed on a topic help out the people who are either uniformed (e.g. computer experts helping non computer experts), overwhelmed by lots of choices (does the world really need 500 types of dvd players?), or simply not interested in becoming an expert on a particular topic (e.g. i just bought a grill using Hunch - I really didn't feel like researching grills, just wanted the "default" one for people like me). Great blog - going to add it to my list.
